The quality of music wasn't much different between the two performances but it was much louder in the Orleans arena. The highlight for me at the double down stage was Row Jimmy, and mountains of the moon at the Orleans, everything else was just mediocre at best. Cheese at night was a far better experience than both, but then again I am a die hard Jerry fan and I am little biased toward anything I have seen since he died, so it's hard for me to get too excited over anything less. The interpretations of Dead tunes are given a very Phish-liike workout. No disrespect, but we have a much tighter rhythm section here, so the music feels a whole lot more grounded when Trey wails. The jam in Bird Song rocks as only Trey could, and the Slipknot is a certain highlight. If you're looking for repretitions on how the Dead interpret these tunes, don't look here. It's a whole other band.
